Now I’ve had issues with the site going down before, but these were weird. My traffic has actually started tapering off when Dreamhosts DNS load balancer went south. So though the servers where up, at times you couldn’t get to them (depending on your DNS cache). According the Dreamhost the issue was:
The problems regarding [...]

If you’re wondering why the site seems slow, its because I also have a Woot-Off checker on the same server and Dreamhost doesn’t seem to like the strain that well, but so far its holding. The Woot-Off Checker is ajax so the requests aren’t that bad… but there are a lot of them.

NOTE: If the [...]
We launched Google Apps for Your Domain at the end of August, and since then we’ve been getting great feedback from people all over. Organizations from Thailand, Argentina, and even our neighbors in Palo Alto have set up private-label Gmail, Google Talk, Google Calendar, and spiffy customizable start pages for their custom domains. We think [...]
Well I wasn’t alone in this, but it’s nice all the same.

So, what feature WAS I alluding to last month anyway? Could it that it’s now been NINE years since we registered dreamhost.com, and to celebrate we’ve upped everybody’s disk and bandwidth, AGAIN, wellll beyond [...]
For the last few days (ok, off and on for the last 2 weeks). I’ve been fighting a case of the slows with the site. I’ve made sure it wasn’t the Wordpress install, the mySQL database or something strange in a plugin (or widget). And I’ve also been doing alittle admining in [...]
