For the past three (or is four days?) this sites SQL server was down. And it wasn’t just, “damn I need to give that a kick and a reboot” down. It wasn’t there. I found a post where they noted that they where having problems Thursday (started Wed) so I just put in a ticket, so they knew I was one and decided to be patient. Well after around 28 hours I got a message froma nice tech who said it seemed it was up and yet, because of the blog post, I should note there still might be intermittant problems. Well I decided to keep an eye on it… traffic was still for the most part kept happy off of cache and I just dealt with pages that where old and the fact no one could comment.
Except today, I got home form a long day and checked and noted that they said they had fixed it Thursday Morning supposedly. So Friday and all day today was in my imagination. So needless to say I put in a ticket, and within minutes the sites are back up (though I note they haven’t updated the ticket yet.)
So if you have run into errors I’m sorry. I don’t fuilly know what happened. And it looks like Dreamhost is attempting to brush it under the carpet…
