Well since it seemed there was a dead period and the site was acting wacky I figured I’d give you all an update.
- Went and tried a site-wide chat “add-on” called firefly but though it ran pretty good, I got some minor complaints about speed hits and minor errors. So its temp removed sitewide and I’m keeping an eye to see if perhaps putting a updated on back.
- There was a plugin called redirection (I wanted to try cleaning up 404 errors slowing down the server.) that started erroring out after an update. since it gave no warning it took a bit before I caught on.
- Feeds… I’m still not totally sure what’s up. I’m thinking its a combo issue with Super-Cache, The Feedburner Plugin AND Feedburner itself. The feed wasn’t updating, and then it would. It would time out, error out, and then start working (but the original feed would remain timing out).
- The server has been running pretty nicely on very little resources, but tonight I had a jump up to almost triple my normal memory and CPU levels. Graph.
- I’m prepping for WordCamp (in what little spare time I have). So those going… i hope to see you there.
