I ran across a site that had supposedly collected a number of images from his running of situations in which nature had taken its course and a tree had slowly enveloped an item. All of them where originally un-credited and I have tried to credit when I have found it.

That was a perfectly good VW Bug…Most policeman keep track of how long you’ve been parked in a spot by marking the tires with white chalk. This may be the only instance ever where they can measure the time by counting rings in a tree. Or they could see how long the tags had been expired…

Hammering Pennies into a log? This must be what people are looking for when they are looking for a money tree. Instead of the normal throwing a penny into a fountain and making a wish, people hammer a penny into this log. A reader mentioned that, “The “Money-tree” was taken near Bolton Abbey in England”

Too bad that isn’t a maple tree…This proves that anything against a tree for a long period of time will be eaten by it. This wash basin was merely leaning against the tree and with time, the tree has grabbed it and lifted it up. I think it was a combination of it being wedged in place and soil sinking a little also but…

I don’t think that this Motorcycle will be restored…Another one of those, how frickin’ long has that motorcycle been there? This is definitely the best bike lock I’ve ever seen. I assume that, that is one fast growing tree… Not a who lot of rust.

Where does tree end and lights start? You know those neighbors that never take down their Christmas lights? This is what they’re trying to get to. Lights grown right into the tree. Just plug them in and the tree is ready to go. I see a future in this one. A “plug in” live tree. This was big years ago… but its considered cruel to let trees do something it does by nature

No Trespassing, Do not pass GO, do not collect $200This is what they call a “live frame” It only takes about 10 years to make each one. The funny thing about this picture is that despite the fact that the tree has swallowed the sign, we still all know exactly what the sign says. Evidently the photographer didn’t. The Photographer was “slightly” upset when this wasn’t attributed to him, “Actually, the “Forbidden” tree photograph was taken in Northwest Park in Windsor, Connecticut.”

That bicycle won’t be ridden anytime soon…Museum Hoaxes Website had this picture of bicycle that it. If I had to guess, I’d think that a kid threw someone bike up there and it was too high. Over time the tree closed off that Y and the bike with it.

That was a statue of BuddaThis is an example of people not wanting to bother the environment around a statue, and in this case instead the tree that was standing behind it has slowly sucked it in…

  1. One credit for a photo? That gives you reason to take my entire article and wording? I appreciate the link, but don’t blame my shortcomings for your lack of creativity

  2. I’m still digging up credit for the other images. I’ve found 2 of them on 4 different sites… none with full credit. If you check back in a while I’m sure you’ll find all credited.
