Normally you do see balloons up int eh mornings here in Napa, but they tend to land on the other side of the city where there are large parks and plenty of open space. Don’t know what was up for today, but today the balloons where skimming over light poles and setting down in strange places. As I took my son to school one skimmed over Trancas and barely over America’s Tire Roof and looked to let down in the Community Foundation Parking lot (or Kaiser Napa’s). And then later as I headed to work I saw the below balloon first look like it was checking out the Staple parking lot and then cruise on to find a better spot with 2 Balloons above the Valley Vans and a Support truck following after. There was a lot of truck activity, which made me wonder if the air just warmed really fast and they where trying hard to find landing spots in the middle of the city since they couldn’t keep up the lift.
