What do you get when you get a dozen of Dreamhost techs together? 12 different opinions on whats wrong. For the life of me I couldn’t figure out what has been going on with all my sites, and I got everything from perhaps the server needed a reboot, another customer had re-away scripts, the filer was acting up, but they’ll get it going.
Finally I got a note saying that the issue was I had too many sites assigned to the user. And as they started to get popular… the amount of CPU and memory it used grew fast, until it puked the last couple days. I’m in the process of adjusting the sites, and getting them back up. I started with moving The Wordcamp Report and A little bit of vino.
Over the next day or so I’ll be moving the rest of the blogs and sites around, so hopefully the problems will go away. Please let me know though if you continue to experience issues.
