Growing up I wasn’t spared some of the “great” movies of yesteryear. And before Mystery Science Theater had lampooned them, I had seen a few of these gems. The one a lot of men will remember seeing (or at least have heard about) was Amazon Women… They could be on a mysterious island, they could just be some lost civilization. But a man wanders into a world where the women rule and men are but slaves.
Well I think its ironic that in the land of primarily male dominance. A land that is supposed to be arranged into a all people are equal and yet the customs of hundreds of years is still ingrained. China is always been talked about as n extremely old civilization. But also a lot of the oriental mindset idea also come from there. Among those ideas is that the woman is supposed to be not less… but also not equal to a man. Confused yet? Well the point I’m getting too, is that in a world dominated by men, they are making an area (not a full city) that is to be run by women.
A “WOMAN town” where females make all decisions and punish naughty men is being built in mid-China.
The 1.5 square mile Shuangqiao district in Chongqing will have the slogan: “A woman never makes a mistake. A man can never reject a woman’s request.”
It is expected to be a Mecca for women tourists. Tourism chief Li Jigang said: “A disobedient man will be punished by kneeling on a board or doing dishes.”
