Google Pack makes it easy to setup and protect your PC, and now we’ve added two new applications to make your PC even safer: Symantec’s Norton Security Scan, which detects and removes viruses, and PC Tools’ Spyware Doctor Starter Edition, a top-rated anti-spyware utility. Both are free and include automatic protection updates with no paid subscription required.We’ve also substantially updated our screensaver. Now you can turn your computer into a digital picture frame that displays pictures from photo feeds—continuously updated streams of photos from the web. Many of your favorite photo-sharing sites support them already, so it’s easy to keep in touch with your friends and family this way.

If you’ve read this blog for some time, you would of heard me mention the Google Pack. Its one of the few things I make sure to install on my PCs. The reason for this, is that it supplies a lot of the programs I use daily all together in one package, plus it comes with a nice updater that keeps an eye out for updates on all those products and downloads and installs those updates seamlessly. Plus the eye candy programs like the screensaver is just real nice. So, its good to see they haven’t been sitting on their laurels, and is instead adding a couple useful programs to the list. So go ahead and download it, you can also select to only download certain ones (if for example you already have an Anti-virus). The one thing to note, A working anti-virus is better then one you installed years ago and is outdated and/or no longer works.
