Over the years many highways have been adjusted to make it straighter or simplify. In some cases like Route 66 highways have bypassed original highways making a more direct route. In California you’d be surprised at the number of highways like this. In most cases they get taken up by buildings or other such development, but in this case when they revised Route 38 they actually revamped the way totally. Straightening it quite a bit.Well her eis a site in which pictures of the now “forgotten” highways shows that it still exists.
