My favorite ChristmaHannuKwaanzahSolstice music channel just went live for the 2006 holiday season. SomaFM’s founder Rusty Hodge sent word, and says, “We’ve got over 900 songs in our Xmas rotation now. Christmas, Hanukkah, even a few Kwanzaa and Solstice songs.” Um, Rusty — aren’t you forgetting FSM (peace be upon his noodly appendage) and Dawkinsonian atheism (science be praised!)? Anyway, the link to listen: 128k mp3, or Windows Media. Playlists and additional stream format/bitrates can be accessed from SomaFM.com.
I will attest that this station is great. You can also catch this station as a selection in itunes. Note though, the music is great, it can get adult in that you may not be able to get away with blaring it in the office. I got embarrassed more then once because of that (Can we say Merry Fing Christmas?). But if you want a more diverse selection of music, and not want to worry about hearing the same damn type of music every time then SomaFM’s channel is the one for you.
Of course if you just want a streaming Christmas music, I have had Christmas Music going for a while, I just changed servers to one with a better connection (for those remembering how when it got more then 30 it got rough). Listen If that doesn’t work then visit this link and click play to get a m3u file (plays in itunes/WinAmp).
