Snap Preview Anywhere™ displays a preview of ANY site that is hyperlinked from your page. So your readers can decide whether a site is worth visiting before actually clicking the link.
I went ahead and added this, because I saw it used on Matt Mullenweg of WordPress’ blog. And what it does is add a pop up showing a preview of the site when you hover over a link. That way you can decide if you want to visit a link, before clicking.
Let me know how to works for you, and if you see a speed problem or it just become an annoyance because of it, let me know and I’ll remove it. Since it’s not actual pop-ups but rather using DHTML to keep it within the window, I thought it was a nice unobtrusive way to add some spice.
PS – I’ll also make sure to flush the cache so the code propagates across the whole site. But as always let me know about any weirdness.
UPDATE: After a nice conversation with a program manager for Snap, I found out that I ended up being one of very few blogs that are “previewing” this feature. So keep your eyes open, I’ll be posting about their “Grand Opening” per say in a couple weeks when they have it.
Please remember to give me any feedback, I’ll make sure they get it.
