I just found out today I was made #1 on Meebo’s Top 10 List, for sites that use meebo. It’s on the right hand side of Meebo’s Blog.
I’m sure it had to do with the great amount of traffic I had from the article about bad tattoo’s that I posted. I went from an average of around 100-150 visitors each day, to a high of a bit more then 13,000 visitors… and I’m still getting extra traffic from it. What surprised me was that I had submitted the site to Digg… and only got about 10 diggs. Also I was surprised at the amount of traffic some of these sites send. The first day Reddit was one of the sites, and I got over 500 hits from that… but it got picked up by Ernies house of Whoop Ass and that was over 5,000 hits… but the biggest source (besides some odds and ends forums, blogs and Google) was Skoopy with around 15,000 hits. Luckily I think I got caching going in time with help from Mark Jaquith of WordPress, as far as I know the site was never down once, though it may of gotten a bit slow. Dreamhost did well with the amount of traffic… so big props to them.
I wanted to thank all the traffic and hope the hits keep coming and enjoying the articles.
