After being swept in AL championship series by Detroit, the Oakland Athletics fired manager Ken Macha on Monday.
Now this has got to be the biggest little sentence I’ve seen in a long time. The Oakland Athletics fired Macha, who had brought the A’s to the playoffs. Now rather then posting that after a few years Macha basically lost a no confidence vote of the players, and so Billy Beane decided to look for fresh talent. But AP, instead posted a one liner blaiming the loss to the Tigers.
