It looks good until you notice the wind… that’s the current weather info right now (from my sidebar). The wind is so hard right now that it shredded my backyard “gazebo”. It was a canvas topped carport that fit our outdoor glass table and a 8 foot folding table no problem. Great for parties it’s now just a frame a few remenants. I’ll be fine for a bit, but BBQ’s will have to be curtailed until I can fix the damage and clean up.
Thing is, if the wind wasn’t so high this would be the time to go wine tasting. It’s currently harvest, grapes are coming in. The days this weekend are going to be great, and the wine being opened isn’t bad either. But with the wind you’ll want a good driver besides a sober driver.
Last tidbit is that it sucks for those over at Woodside Apartments. To have your dinner interupted to find that your balcony and only way out of your aperment was ripping away and collapsing was probably a slight “oh shit.”
UPDATE: It looks like a fire started over by Domain Chandon (behind it) and the Veteran’s Home in Yountville. Already having burned 400 Acres it’s got over 300 Firefighters fighting it. Currently they hadn’t issued any evacuations of note, but there are 150 homes down a nearby canyon.
