Digg Blog: Video Thumbnails
Starting today, all newly submitted videos from YouTube and Google will include static thumbnail previews. Support for Yahoo! videos is coming soon.If you’re a video hosting provider and would like digg to include thumbnail support for your videos, email us at support at digg.com, and we’ll do our best to add you.
This is kind of a cool idea. And looking at the implimentation it’s very clean. It’s almost like Digg is trying to simplify themselves into a single source for videos. And considering the recent change by Google to put it’s video search front and center over Froogle… I wonder who is next on the video bandwagon.
I can just hear the MPAA and RIAA grtting their teeth at another technology getting away from them and not earning them more money. But I digress. This looks to be a good change for Digg.
