I had to wait in a waiting room for hours yesterday, and after finishing my book I started getting desperate. I read Automotive magazines, Health and Beauty Magazines, Home Improvement Magazines, hell even Oprah. There where many thought provoking articles… but most of them old and tired. We know that Militias/Neo-Nazi’s are loving the Anti-Immegration backlash. We know that both Israeli’s and Hezbollah are slugging away and the Lebonese people are the ones getting punished. So I was looking for any thing interesting… but was shocked when I found something online that interested me in a home improvement/decorrating amgazine called RealSimple.

No rush. No late fees. Prepaid return mailer. What Netflix did for movie rentals, Booksfree.com does for paperbacks. For a monthly fee of $8 to $30 (depending on the number of books you choose), you can rent from a library of 40,000 paperback titles, then return them whenever your finished (or decide not to finish). Booksfree.com Retail also sells new books at a savings up to 30 percent.
I can see myself really using this service. I suck the local Library dry of material that interests me fairly fast. And currently I’ve been dragging in books and DVDs from branches all over the Bay Area. And since i generally can’t afford newest releases at the current prices ($8 for a paperback?!?!? I remember paying $1.50) I can’t wait to sign up for it. I just hope that the delivery and service is as good as Netflixes.
