Human space invaders
Guillaume Reymond and his collaborators at NOTsoNOISY created this amazing stop-motion video of space invaders. Sixty-seven people act as the “pixels.” The three minute video took 4 hours to film. It was a project for the festival Belluard Bollwerk International earlier this month in Fribourg, Switzerland. Last year, the group produced a similar piece based on Pong.
Besides BoingBoing I’ve seen meantion of this on Digg, Reddit and all over IRC. I wonder what these guys next project will be, and who will be the ones imitating them. I watched it for a couple times before the 4 hours of stop motion photography sunk in and I realized what it too to make this. Yes… this could of been done with Photoshop… but getting live people to do all this… That took a lot of coordination and direction. The group deserves mad props.
