… I sure had seen a number of them, including some on the list. I saw the building of Leno’s car listed here, and some I recognize as concept car from previous years. I was actually suprised… the lists include both modern and former unusual vehicles. I’ve only come up with a few in my mind that should be there. But I think there are some truelly iconic veicles here including the Toyota PM pictured below.

Strange vehicles can arise for many different reasons. Large, well-known manufactures are responsible for a large portion of unusual vehicles, in attempts to further the boundaries of vehicle design these manufacturers often produce outrageous concepts, some enter production, others are confined to the history books.
Small manufacturing companies attempting to get in the vehicle market regularly produce strange, but effective vehicles in order to corner their own section of the competitive vehicle market.
And sometimes an eccentric with time and money on their hands creates a personal masterpiece.
