…and finally spelt correctly.
Got a chance to upload pictures tonight so I figured to give a synopsis so far.
Saturday was a bear. We got ready for a 4 1/2 hour flight, but after we were boarded and the full plane was adjusted person wise to get everyone seated, we backed up… only to be brought back to the gate to have them check something on the engine. After 2 1/2 hours of that, we started the flight and started towards Honolulu, and got there so late we missed our connecting flight to Kauai. ATA contacted Aloha Airlines and rebooked… but not with enough time to get there. So we got to the Aloha Airlines counter and they sat us down and rebooked it all and we got on a shuttle about 2 hours later.

The Embassy staff was very nice and got us settled and it was nice being pampered. The fact our “Garden View” Condo actually had a nice view of the ocean made the whole ordeal worth it.
Sunday, I’m sorry to say we didn’t go to church. We were majorly jet lagged, so we slept late and then went out to a local shopping center to find something nice to eat. There where way too many choices. We went and enjoyed the great swimming pool and Joseph found a local playset to play on. We then took a walk around enjoying the local scenery at the resort.
Monday saw Dugg & Diana taking a ATV tour of the island… a not very clean ride. Meanwhile Ane, the kids and I sat back, relaxed and enjoyed doing as little as possible. Once they got back then we took off for Wiamea Canyon. With a small stop off at a local burger place which we had the best burgers yet here on the island. I to say that the drive up and the lookouts… the scenery was / is gorgeous…
I can’t believe how pretty everything is. After spending more then a little time taking it all in, we started driving west as far as possible until we hit Polihale Beach and then sat back and enjoyed the great sunset.
The only wth was looking at this piece of track sticking up out of the surf. I was left wondering what the vehicle it was that it came off of, and why it was left there.
After yesterday’s long day it was not wonder that we were having to drag ourselves out of the beds. We went to a local restaraunt Tomkats and had a great breakfast and then twiddled our thumbs for the day… The girls left for a massage, Dugg and Cadance took a nap and Joseph & I went swimming. The evening has yet to come but plans are being made. I’ll update when I upload more pictures, but here are all the ones taken so far.
