“King Kong” to Kick Off Universal’s New Download/DVD Service

From April 10, consumers will be able to download two digital copies of selected movies — one for a computer and one for a portable device — and receive a DVD in the mail.

As an owner of many movies this is very interesting. Rather then ripping the movie myself I can just download a copy already prepped for use either in my ipod or just for my PC/Laptop.

Universal is starting this… I wonder when the other Houses will start doing it. I also wonder if this will be in Europe only or also in the States.
