I’ve often looked at the 3D cutaways in Popular Science and Mechanics wondering how much work went into it, how they did it. And I always assumed it was a lot of CAD. or just a very detailed hand drawer. But I was only a little right. Kevin Hulsey spends a good bit of time in Illustrator sometimes working only off blueprints. The Cruiseship below took him 720 Hours. So go ahead and work your way through and maybe you’ll be doing the Illustrations also… I don’t think I will…. too much time, OUCH!
