PSP Gets Camera, GPS
Topic: Games
This morning in Tokyo, Sony announced a whole mess of new stuff for mobile gamers. Europe and North America can look forward to a new black base model PSP console that appears unchanged from the current one for $199. But more importantly, the company is launching new accessories that are sure to give hackers hours of entertainment. This fall, keep you eye out for a PSP camera that will give the handheld EyeToy motion tracking and video chat features and a GPS add-on to turn your console navigation capabilities. This is particularly good news for third-party accessory makers, who are sure to cash in on your need for a new bag to carry all your PSP add-ons around in.
You know between these and the fact they are used for watching movies, listening to the stereo… heck they even have an in-car mount for the stereo now:
PSP to Rock Your Auto
Topic: Media Players
Just like Michael Jackson (you know, back when he was cool), your PSP wants to rock with you. And now Griffin’s got the goods to pump it up on the road. The $50 iTrip PSP snaps onto the bottom of your PlayStation Portable and transmits your tunes to your car stereo via standard FM channels. We like this version of the iTrip even more than the iPod version, because its width makes it easy to use the built-in buttons to set it to a clear FM station or change settings when you enter an area where the channel you had been listening on suddenly gets hosed by local Top 40 interference.

I might actually consider getting one.
