As one who uses throw away email addresses to keep the amount of spam down I was disturbed to find this report on BoingBoing about the Miller Brewing Company. Supposedly a person who ssigned up for mailing with them used a junk email address, and once he canceled that address Miller started sending emails to his normal address.

Recently, however, we have not been able to deliver email messages to the address you originally supplied. We have performed an electronic change of address to update our records so that we can continue to send you special offers, promotions, and announcements via email.
How the heck did they track down that address? And why did Miller bother to even track it down.
